Contributing to build a mosque is an ongoing sadaqa
(alms) and a colossal task that strengthens our ties with
Allah. When the Prophet (pbuh) arrived in Medina, The
First thing he did was to build a mosque (Qouba'a Mosque)
And then he established his mosque (Masjid Sharif).
The mission of the mosque in Islam is enormous. The
Mosque is not only for prayers, but also is an education
Institute from which many great scholars, preachers
And educators graduated, Muslim envoys started from
Mosque and spread Islam all over the world. Scholars
Authored books and volumes on the virtue of the mosque,
Its message and visiting manners.
In addition to its basic mission, the mosque has a greater
Role to accomplish in non-Muslim countries. It is a social
Center for the Muslim community gatherings and it is the Centre
Of Dawah. It hosts seminars and it is the place for new converts
To announce their Shahada.
It serves as an education center for new Muslims and it servers other purposes as well
Therefore, what can be greater than contributing to build a mosque and what is bigger than its reward?
Early Muslims were devoted to erecting mosque and maintaining them. They continuously attended prayers and recited the Quran and observed I'tikaf and performed other noble duties.
This mosque is unique, not only in its location but in its design and structure. It is
Located on the road to Auckland International Airport and it will serve the pressing needs of Muslims in the area. We made sure that it would resemble Al-Masjid Al-sharif . As the project will be basement (car park) that will occupy the first floor. Prayers will temporarily
Take place in this part until the mosque is fully completed.
The South Pacific Islamic Centre Supervising Committee appeals to all brothers and sisters to donate generously to build this mosque and take up some of this great responsibility for the sake of Allah.
